Typography

The typography we use at F&G is a visual element of our brand that goes beyond the font we use in our company logo. Typography supports brand design in a number of ways, including copy in marketing materials and on digital platforms.

Typefaces

The primary typeface for F&G is Helvetica Neue, a versatile typeface that comes in many different weights. Headlines are treated in Helvetica Neue Bold and body copy is treated in Helvetica Neue Regular. Other Helvetica Neue weights are available and acceptable to use for flexibility on all other collateral.

Titles and subheadings are always Helvetica Neue Bold on advisor marketing materials and should use the primary purple color or one of the four secondary colors. The gold is not typically used in headings because of the lack of contrast on white, but may certainly be used on a darker background. Font size is dependent on the material, but we generally prefer a large, bold treatment that's several times larger than the paragraph type and sentence case.

Our paragraph text is Helvetica Neue Regular and on print materials should use our darker gray. In the case of digital mediums, please go darker for accessibility (use #58595a). We also generally keep our font size large (14-16pt) to consider the age of our consumers.
